SUBMISSIONS
The New Haven Register's Holiday Decorations Photo Contest will be accepting submissions from 12:01 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2012, until 11:59 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2012.
Photos can be submitted by email to kyeager@newhavenregister.com; by posting them on the New Haven Register’s Facebook page at Facebook.com/NewHavenRegister; or by Tweeting them @nhregister on Twitter.
Submissions must include the submitter’s name and town. If submitting via Twitter, contest entrants must follow @nhregister so they can be contacted via direct message if they win.
One photo submissions per person. Contest entrants may send a daytime shot and a nighttime shot of the same scene, and the Register will combine them into a single side-by-side image for the contest.
ELIGIBILITY
Open to Connecticut residents ages 13 and over.
This contest is open to any winter/winter holiday decorations.
VOTING
Voting will take place from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012, to 11:59 p.m. Friday, December 21,. 2012.
Voting will take place via buttons on the photos in the contest blog.
PRIZES
Prizes available include:
- 6 tickets to the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford, good through Dec. 31, 2012
- 4 tickets to the New Haven Symphony Pops! show on March 16, 2013
- 2 tickets to the Yale-Princeton hockey game on Feb. 1, 2013
- 4 tickets to the Yale-Harvard basketball game on Feb. 23, 2013
- 6 tickets to any Yale Repertory Theatre show in the 2012/2013 season
The first place winner will receive their choice of available prizes. The second, third, and fourth place winners will receive their choice of the respective remaining prizes.
Winners will be contacted through the method used to submit their photo. Emailed submissions will be contacted via email, Facebook submissions will be contacted via Facebook, and Twitter submissions will be contacted via Twitter.
Winners have 72 hours (3 days) to respond and claim their prizes, otherwise their prize is forfeited and given to the next entry in line.
